Thank you. From what I've been reading i think its going to be the one under hood. I can barely pump gas if that helps pin point. Its definitely related. I'm going to test both asap

Is the code number that you interpret as "purge throwing code" a secret for some reason? That would tell which one it is. P0446/P0449 relate to the VENT near the charcoal tank, P0443 relates to the PURGE valve under the hood. I am taking a wild guess, because difficulty in pumping gas, that the vent is stuck closed. Imagine filling a soda bottle with a hose, if the air can't get out the water can't get in.

If you do replace the VENT valve you need to get the part number that includes an adapter cable. 2006 modules have a different connector from all other years.

Please, never refer to OBD2 codes by the description given by the scanner, they rarely mean what you think they do. They are simply the name of a test, not what the result indicates.

In this case the hard shifting is unquestionably due tp the P0102. Yes the engine starts in open loop then after the the O2 sensors and engine temp get to operating temp it is supposed to go to closed loop. Closed loop means that the computer is using feed back loops with the sensors to control things.

The code is p0446 from what I've been reading its usually the solenoid under the hood. I checked it and there was no vaccuum. I'm thinking the canister or somewhere in their is clogged im going to try blowing it out. As for hard shifting its completely gone now that the maf is actually plugged in.

The round canister on the right below the white plastic, the EVAP purge vent valve, P0446 indicates an electrical problem, loose or corroded wires

If you buy a new one, make sure you transfer the seal from your old one to the new one!

Electrical can include a burned out solenoid coil.

I unplugged the hose at the purge under the hood and tried to blow out the hose. I didn't even get a chance to get under the car yet because of snow storms but The problem went away. Not sure if it was just from sitting a year but no more pending p0446 and for the first time I can pump gas at full speed. Not a huge issue it wasn't even giving me a CEL just a pending code and now it's gone. I'm sure it will come back at some point.. mechanical things don't usually fix themselves.

Train yourself to remove the nozzle when it clicks off, do not top up the tank.
