Some like Fram, Supertech, STP and Quaker State seem obvious as per their number, but are they? I'm sure that there are no more than 3 different filters from that list.
From what I can gather, there are maybe 10 companies around the world that make filters and it's likely that only a few of those companies make the cartridge filters. Chances are pretty good that most of the filters on the list are just rebranded.

I have a Fram that I got for free with an oil purchase, it's not installed yet so I could get the data from it.
You've been to Canadian Tire recently

Yup! Castrol Syntec. I'll use it as my "transition" oil.

I've been to CT too many times recently...

I have Syntec in mine right now. Wanted to use Pennzoil Platinum, but it didn't go on sale when I needed it.

I know what you mean about being to CT too many times. When I was installing the running boards my wife asked "where did all these tools come from?". "They were on sale at CT...I needed them" (which was true)

I recently bought and installed a #57082 Wix filter from a parts chain near here and it was marked "Made in Korea"...go figure.Anyhow, the quality of the Wix was better than the #9018 Fram I looked at in Wally World that was marked "Made in Bulgaria".The filter material on the Wix was thicker and the pleats were more evenly spaced.

PF457G no longer made by Hengst?

I went to the local GM dealer a few minutes ago and picked up an AC Delco PF457G oil filter so I can change the oil this afternoon.

The previous PF457G filters I purchased where made by Hengst in the USA.

The one I got today was made in Bulgaria, just like the Fram ones available at Wal-Mart

I bought a case of twelve AC Delco filters back in May (for about $40 ), and they are all Hengst labelled.

They must have multiple sources for these.

Here's one made in China, used by a quick lube place. It took out a $6000 engine.

I used a Bosch filter last change, and got a K&M this time. The K&M came with a new seal for the cap, no other filter has had that. I'll try to get the part numbers and such for your list.
