remote start
If you like line of sight thats ok, I prefer to push a button and find out that my car started and not have to be looking at it. Its a nice perk next to keeping the car secure since I use it for business. You cant stand near my car or reach in the window when the its armed. If you have enough brass to try and jump in before your ears will be bleeding with in seconds from the Multiple mini piezo sirens placed inside the interior.
This is just an average install for us by the way. . .

I've had no problems with range so far either. Last friday I was able to do it from across the parking lot at a Mcdonalds.. I was on the opposite side of the building (I figure roughly 150'-200' away, with the actual building between us) and did it just to try it. It was nice to walk up to the SS and see that it was purring away!

We can use the remote start work from the backyard while sitting by the pool. Maybe 75 feet away and through/over the house. The biggest problem is remembering to set the mojito down before pushing the buttons. Then again, we're in CA where nothing is quite right. Seriously, my remote works at least 200 feet away and is very important when the Hawaiian "pineapple express" winds are blowing on shore. Then again, how damn serious can we be versus MN, MA, or NJ? Point being, the system works really well here.

I've started my SS from the back bedroom a few times, and have locked it, from through the closed garage door, and from the kitchen[no line of sight].
Thought that was the standard deal nowdays, for the remote. "Moon"

Mine works over 100 feet away through a couple of walls. I always have to open the door and check that it actually started. It has also been used about 200 feet away inside a bar a couple of times. It was paid for once so I see no reason whatsoever to change it. I want to know if a vehicle is started, so there is no point in having more distance. What did people do before remote start? ***** an awful lot I guess. My second vehicle doesn't have it and never will.
I find it annoying when someone is apparently far too lazy to read instructions on how to do something. But there is always someone who will help them out so it's no wonder the world is so incredibly lazy. No one even seems to know how to think or do anything for themselves. People get no help from me when I know something is well documented other than pointing them to the documentation.
