I have a 2008 Chevy HHR and it has remote start but was disable before I bought it. Does anyone know how I turn it back on or do I have to go to the dealership where I bought it? Thank You for your help,

I would start with your owner’s manual. If your vehicle did not come with one, an online version is available here:

Look under Driver Information Center; hereinafter referred to as the DIC.

If the Remote Start Option is not displayed in the DIC personalization menu, you do not have this option, for what others have done see:

Is your HHR an ex-fleet vehicle by any chance? Have you checked the build tag in your glovebox for option code AP3, which would indicate if your HHR was actually built with remote start capability?

Its really unusual to hear of one having the function disabled, the usual case is folks being told they have the function, when they really don't.
