Your AC might not be working for several reasons, bad ambient air temperature sensor, bad thermostat, low Freon, low coolant, bad coolant temperature sensor.
If your DIC is showing the CEL, depending on the code the ECM might disable the RS

You need to enable RVS in the DIC customization menu. See your Owner Manual.

Ok, just so I won't have to add another thread, has anyone lately found a GOOD, legitmate, 100% aftermarket remote start? Mine is a 2010 so as been stated in this and other thread, any of the tricks in earlier year HHRs won't work on mine. I thought I wouldn't be that big on it, but this is going to be my 100% winter car now and it would be good to have it nice and toasty when I get in.

All Genuine HHR fob circuit boards are the same. I suggest get Genuine GM because some of the Chinese ones don't work well.. The programming module that comes with the Dorman kits works with all of them.

Just got a 2008 ss with ap3 code in glove box and hood latch wire. Does this mean I get remote start?

I think so, unless it’s a manual, then no. What’s the situation? Have you tried your fob? Do you even have one?

Yes, if it does not work look in your Owner Manual for directions to turn it on in the DIC.
BTW, Lock+Panic = remote start if you have a fob without RVS button.
