I'm dreaming of a white Christmas....

We are near the WI/IL border in north central IL and we got between 12-14 (pro'lly closer to 14) inches of snow. Haven't had "Pugsley" out to drive yet. My hubby had to clear the end of our driveway of the plowed snow first so we could get out. Drifts are upward of 4-5 feet. Wicked but SO pretty. Fridge is stocked and the snow blower was primed and ready!

Well, out here in the boonies, we had so much blowing and drifting, I had a 2+ foot drift about 20 feet long in front of the garage. Had to get the snow blower started so I could move the snow away from the garage. Then I had to move the truck out of the garage and move the tractor back so I could put the chains and snow blade on, then start plowing. Anyway after about 4 hours of work, my driveway is clear and we can get out if we need to. Uh oh, wait a minute, the township truck just went by and plowed in the end of my driveway. Looks like I have to go back to work.

Well I found out today. The HHR runs pretty good in 3 to 6 inches of sleet and snow. Seems very stable. Thanks for all your replies, they made it easier to head out this morning.

We had 15" of snow at Great Lakes IL this morning and no matter what kind of car you had you were not moving very fast at all if you were moving at all.
I drove to work from the IL/In border and when I arrived in Lake Co Illinois the snow came that was about 0300. It was a very long day today

The Florida people wear extreme cold winter coats when the temp gets down to 70 degrees....

It was -4 degrees yesterday...

Mine has been through snow last winter and some pretty good snow this year and I'e never experienced what you are. I'd be inclined to take it to the dealer and have them check the weatherstripping because that sure doesn't sound right to me.
