Today's car wiring is amazing. My 65 stang from the key needs 1 wire to the coil, 1 for the starter(1 to batt), 1 on the alternator and ground. So 5 wires is all that's needed for the engine to start run and charge. LOL Times have changed just a tad.

Wires,Wires everywhere

I'm removing some wires from the Ls Harness. It would have been easier to do this before the harness was installed, but I really didn't know just what to remove earlier, so I put the harness in. And in reality, there are so many wires that are the wrong length, it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway. Lots of the HHR's engine compartment wires need to be lengthened because the fuse block was moved to the other side of the engine compartment.

Man I wish I could come help Cliff! That pile of wire is right up my alley. I never heard from you on our embroidery deal. When I get home I'll get with you and blue about your prizes.

In the meantime, you keep wiring!

It seems like this car needs to be in Cleveland. Craig Gibson, the guy that put the Ls in a KIA lives just outside Cleveland and he is helping me with the wiring but he is going through some medical problems right now so I'm not getting as much info as I would like. It must be something in the water from the Great Lakes that gives you guys the smarts on the wiring. Physically removing/shortening/lengthening the harness wires is easy. Knowing how the Ls1 ECU ties into the HHR systems is the trick.
