With all you knowledge why didn't you put a 9" in from the get go?

$$$$$.

As with a lot of projects, this build started as a mild almost daily driver. It has evolved into a ground pounding only for cruise nights a$$ kicker. The original plan would have been no more than your garden variety SS Camaro as it is now I don't think it would withstand the burnouts it will be capable of. And I don't want to tow it home after showing off. How embarrassing. So it's bite the bullet, pay up and be capable of all it will do.

Here is what one of the shock brackets looks like tacked together.

Both brackets tacked

I have both shock mounts tacked together and ready to final welding. Tomorrow I'm taking them to a shop with a much larger welder than mine to finish.

V8 Panel Gets Expert Help

Ok, so last month I reached the end of my electrical expertise on the computer connections on the car. For the last year I have been in contact with a guy in Mentor, Ohio (Cleveland) that successfully put an Ls motor in a late model Kia Sorento and EVERYTHING works. He has agreed to getting the wiring and a couple of other things finished to the point that it runs. His name is Craig Gibson and he is an electrical wizard. He has until the end of February to complete his part so I can pick it up and totally finish the car for this spring. He has joined this forum so that he can post on my thread his progress. I'm posting a couple of pictures when the car left SoCal and when it arrived in the frozen tundra of Ohio.

LSxPoweredSorento - Looking forward to the pictures.

And I would love to see some pics of that Sorento. We just picked up a 2017 Sportage 2.4L a couple of months ago - and loving it.

Just figured out... Sorta.... How to get this IB Auto app to work. There is NO reply button!! At least not on my phone. I figured a work around just now...
I use Tapatalk all the time because of the ease of picture management! However, that's not available here... So now I can post picture updates easily for you all.

As for my Sorento...
www.facebook.com/LSxSorento is the best place. I have tons of pictures on there and videos as well.
Here is a rather massive burnout video from a local car show. It actually ended up being featured on "Jalopnik" a popular car based Facebook page. LoL.
