Had a "little talk" with a State Trooper this morning, he found a new hiding place, and I got a written warning for 77 in a 65.

They've got a new light package on the 2014 Chargers, it was like being pulled over by a UFO.

That isn't speeding that bad!

And yeah, my town is a huge police city. Our cop cars light up like Christmas trees and seems like a homing beacon for drunks.

I was on the interstate down in south fl coming back home and was speeding bad. I was doing 110 in a 70, or what I thought was a 70. Apparently down this small hill the speed limit changes to 45 for like 50 yards then back to 70. I didn't see the motorcycle cop and of course he lasered me in the 45...

I wasn't "hauling the mail" as fast as I have gone across that stretch of Interstate, but it was enough to get Officer Miller's interest.

If he'd have cited me, I'd deal with it like a normal citizen. Except for one day in Lubbock Texas, I've never used my status as an Attorney to get out of a ticket.

They stick it to everyone here! we've had doctors, attorneys and even other cops get arrested.

I've never had much trouble in Florida, but Ohio, man oh man! I go across Ohio with the cruise control nailed right on the speed limit, if it's 65, I'm going 65....period.

Actually it was on I-40E about 1/2 mile before exit 289, he had himself backed up the embankment. Guess he felt like doing some off roading.

Illegal as hell if that state takes, or has taken, any Federal funds for that highway. Federal law indicates there must be no more than 10 mile an hour increments of speed reduction in a given distance (which escapes me). Most judges will toss the ticket when confronted (I can tell you a story about an infamous GM Chief Engineer who found this out the hard way.....but won).

You know, I can't say if that is a Federal Law. But somehow the Feds apply "juice" to standardize the speed limits, if the state wants federal funds for road building/maintenance/assistance. Might just be a requirement.

This was introduced specifically for the notoriously rumored speed traps of the small Southern towns. Since enacted, most have changed the signs and comply, as I understand it. But a few are still around......even in larger metro areas.
