What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Word of caution......
GM changed the locking gas cap "protocol" .........
Just turn the cap to hear ONE click. There is no need to "spin" it till clicking like a time bomb.
Found this out a couple years back when I had to replace mine and complained to an engineer. He advised about the above.

I have always just turned to lock the cap 1 click the replacement cap seems loose in the fuel tube so I'm going to get an AC Delco replacement tomorrow, my wife has the HHR today she just texted when she went for lunch she walked past the gas door and could smell fuel when she drove off to lunch after 5 minutes the check fuel cap DIC warning came back on.
I did disconnect the negative battery terminal last night for 30 minutes after I used my code reader to ensure there were no stored codes.

Kudos to Revroy! I'd've been doing something similar today, but we were rained out. We're having a much-needed rainy week in CA, although now floods & mudslides are a concern in some areas. Anyway, yesterday it didn't rain so I clayed & sealed my car til it's as clean and shiny as I can make it. Today it was back out in the rain, and the water rolls right off.
Found the exhaust leak is getting worse. It started as a slight buzz when I started to put my foot down. Now it's significantly louder above and it sounds almost like an open exhaust above 4k rpm. I'm thinking probably flex pipe, but haven't gotten a chance to look at it. Clunk is back too, and with a vengeance. That 5k+ miles in a week wasn't nice to my car...
