Thanks. I actually kinda stumbled upon this one. I'm always passivley looking for parts, and I found a wrecked '06 Cobalt SS/NA for parts. I was talking with the guy about buying the axle. After a day or two, he said was thinking of just letting the whole car go for $200. Everyone I've talked to about this swap has spent $400+. I also found a guy at the same time that had a full set of Ion Red Line discs, rotors, and pads for free. Stick in there and keep a look out, you'll find something. Just remember that is can be from any HHR or Cobalt SS, or the Ion Red Line. There is actually a '07 SS/NA in a pick-n-pull up here, but that's a bit of a drive for you for just an axle...

I still have a couple of small issues with it, They don't feel as strong as they should, and even though the E-brake holds, it doesn't hold as well as the drum E-brake did. I'm going to bleed them really good tonight, and if that doesn't help, I'm going to look into swapping the proportioning valve.

Frenchy42 the proportioning valve for drum brake system should be changed to the 4 wheel disc system proportioning valve the are very different in the pressure settings

Dorman has a repair kit for the inside door handle. Takes about an hour to repair. Repaired my wife's car over two years ago.

The Dorman kits work like a treat, RatRodS is right, allow about an hour to do the job. A plus is the Dorman kits seem to be sturdier than the OEM handles, but remember, the chrome handle is only for opening the door.

The cutout in the armrest is for pulling the doors shut, my lovely and loving wife didn't cotten onto that until she'd broken both front door handles in my '06 daily driver.

I just will sit out today, to much snow in the drive to bother going out! We got 6 inches of it yesterday, my buddy next door will clear the drive out for me later today! I offered to let him use my snow blower for his drive too!
He is still giggling with the thought of a new play toy!
