This was yesterday, have put 40,000 miles on my 10 since I bought it. It had 8040 when I test drove it in Oct of 10. Yesterday it turned 48,040. Still enjoy my ride.

Got a ride home in Paddy from the airport, my wife Michelle had forgotten that the power steering moter is packing it in, she almost made it onto airport property before..."Bong!..Power Steering".

"Sorry Hubby, I forgot it was acting up, Paddy never breaks and I thought that Dusty and I would pick you up in your favorite", as soon as she restarted 'Ol Cuddly Fenders, the EPS worked perfectly all the way home and into the garage.

Should have had it attended to before leaving for Vegas, but my dealer was getting slammed with pre-Easter service work. Between their 7:30 opening time and noon on Tuesday when I called the Service Manager, they'd done 55 oil changes alone!

Seems like the Holiday snuck up on folks again, how I'll never know. I've been snarfing Cadbury Creme Eggs down since before Valentine's Day.

Took both HHR's in for their Ignition Recalls. Wouldn't you know it rained all morning.

The Chevy dealer was about 40 miles away. They gave us a 2013 Impala to drive ,so we went antiquing in Amish Country.

When we got home the rain quit, so I washed and dried both HHR's. All put away until the next adventure...

Got my flex pipe replaced. The first place I went to today was a tire and auto place here in NJ. They told me I had to replace the cat, o2 sensor, and flex pipe all at once. I told them just to replace the flex pipe but they said it was impossible in these cars. The estimate they gave me was $1005.00. I immediately left and went to a muffler shop a mile or so down the road and $250 later I had the new flex pipe on. 250 still seems a bit much, but since I dont have the means to do it at home, and it was getting pretty bad, I was happy with it.

Experienced the ignition key hard to remove. Two situations on 2 different days......total of 4.

Already had the ignition recall performed but I believe a secondary alert with a life time fix was issued toward the last part of last year. Something about the Park and transmission mode interfering with key removal. Need to search my files, but it will take a little effort, the office is a mess because of some remodeling.

Cranked up the '06 yesterday for a quick "can't believe we forgot to buy(insert milk, bread, butter, etc), for Easter dinner" run to the local Food Lion, and "Bong!...Power Steering".

OK, that's two out of three running HHR's to lose their EPS motors in a week and a half, we're taking the Fiat or KIA to church this morning.

took a long drive yesterday , about 300 miles out to Long Point on Lake Erie. I took off the factory mudflaps and I had to drive some dirty back roads, I was surprised at how clean the HHR was when we got home.
This morning , woke up to 29 degrees F and snow showers, yea Happy Easter!! Brrr, at least the chocolate Easter eggs won't melt!!
