What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?

Thank you. (and chefhhr) The swaybar suggestion is not lost on me. It is in the back of my mind. I was wondering, though, does installing a tow hitch assembly interfere with or change the effect of a rear swaybar?

It won't affect it at all since the sway bar is located on the rear axle, and the hitch attaches to the body shell via the "frame rails" that are part of the unit body.
A sway bar can improve the behavior of the tow vehicle in certain situations, but overall, it becomes secondary to a properly installed hitch and properly loaded trailer. You have to watch your tongue weight on the hitch and the weight distribution in the trailer, those are the big factors in whether the "tail wags the dog" or not.

So I'm thinking of removing the beauty bar and painting this evening. I know many have done this...can I get it done in a few hours? I haven't removed the rear panel yet...I may go ahead and remove the wiper motor while I'm at it too.
