Well Dw, I got my Airman's Certificate at 13, so I started flying early. But becoming a Dad at 44 means I'm a late bloomer I guess.

That's OK, because even 20 years ago I wasn't mature enough to be a parent.

I'll be 62 when Dusty graduates from High School, 66 or so when he graduates from College, so if I'm a Grandpa at 70 that'll be cool.

As for my "did" on Sunday, I hiked up to higher ground to retrieve the '06 at the Speedway, and then we loaded it up with our stuff leaving the R/V for Tom Johnson's Camping Center to collect it.

Hopefully the infield at CMS dries out more by the time they go to get it, otherwise they'll need a heavy duty wrecker to yank it out of the holes it made just sitting there.

Later today, the '06 has a date with a pressure washer, it's a real mudbug.

Took a week off to tool around Pennsylvania.
I found it funny that over every hill and valley the fall colours were turned on and off and some were in over drive.
Must have a lot to do with elevation and available water

Deciduous trees change colour because of sunlight not cold weather or elevation.
Trees on the north slope blocked from The sun's rays will turn before the south side does.

Today I was called up to the hospital, Sweetie did not have a good night, bad reaction to some meds, her kidneys have shutdown.
The staff have been awesome and happy and friendly, but went I got there, there were no smiles.
8 hours later and a couple tests and a hematologist and a kidney specialist, she is pulling up from a nosedive, she is dehydrated, getting ringers lactate ( I thought that stuff was just a fake thing while watching Emergency, back in the 70's with Robert Fuller and Randolph Mantooth)

She is resting, her fever has broke, and she managed to eat and drink a little bit.
Quite the scare for me and her family and friends but the next 48 hours will tell the tale of her kidneys and any damages

Thank you all for your kind words , prayers, and support!!

Thanks! We appreciate you all! How's about teaching the coffee guy here in the canteen how to make a good cup of joe!
Tastes like swamp water strained thru my wool socks after a wet week at Syracuse!
( I'm only imagine this, don't try that at home)

Seriously she is sedated and just resting for now more tests today.

As for the HHR, it's parked in the garage across the street!

Let's blast some music today for her!
Sir Paul and Wings ... Hell on wheels from Red Rose Speedway I believe!!
He does sound like he is singing "Helens wheels" sorta.

Keep a stiff upper lip and cheers!!

Hey Oldblue, greetings, thoughts, and prayers coming your way from San Francisco.

My First Officer Colin got plenty of mileage out of your incoming text yesterday morning giving my a start.

Just as I was cycling the Engine Fire Warning circuit breakers during the pre-flight checklist, Oldblue texted me and the generic "New Text Message" sound/noise made by my phone caused me to jump and whack my head on the c*ckpit ceiling.

Just like my darling wife, my crews just love to rub it in when I "do a dumb".

"Swamp Water" coffee aside Steve, how is Helen doing my friend?

Still sedated! Gained 12 kilos thanks to fluid retention caused by her kidneys issue.
I'm just sitting here waiting for some good news, I do see a light at the end of this tunnel but it's not moving towards me very fast!
Switching gears might help, she loves Ave Maria do when it's six o'clock your time crank this one up for my girl!! Thank you all so much,

Oldblue, consider it done.

Keep fighting Helen, just keep fighting!

And to our Technical Moderator donbrew, keep fighting too my friend, we're here for you Buddy.

Man, there's something in my eyes right now, whoever said that "grown men don't cry" was a damn fool.
