Stitched up my wooly worm. Previous attempts at glueing didn't last.

Settled with insurance for my deceased HHR . It was classified a total loss due to both front airbags being deployed and the amount of front end damage, The agent was nice enough to let me know where it is headed for auction. I'm not sure when it will be up for grabs . The auctions are weekly.

Discovered yesterday that I can attach my seatbelt, operate the ignition, release the handbrake, and place the transmission in gear using only my left hand.

Only, only, five more weeks with the cast on my right wrist and hand.

But I'll not be driving again for a bit, falling and breaking your wrist really screws up your life, and just holding the wheel very gingerly between my thumb and index finger had my eyes popping out of my head!

The life lesson, always look out for toys in the hallway when rushing to answer the door, unless you enjoy riding in one of those fancy trucks with the sirens and flashing lights.

I used to have Toys in the Attic! Ahh, vinyl I do miss it! Take care Mike!
Fox hat, did they let you keep any accessories off the wreck??
Today's did was to give the HHR a California Duster cleaning and a detail spray and wipe !
Sweetie's CMV is still there and she has a reoccurring flu virus, so daily visits from the home care nurses. She can't go far anyways!!

I grabbed all my add ons before I left it.

Wifey wants a "memorial " model . I made contact with a fellow that makes scale resin copies of the panel and windowed HHRs and will be sending him an order soon.

Yesterday a small but humiliating incident.
The front left wheel landed in the pit. Almost new tire was killed on the spot.
Friday evening. I have to finish the job in the office, I can not no perform it. Shops have closed, repair shops too. The prospect of running aground before Sunday, turned into a pedestrian.
My friend the tires-master came to the rescue. He stayed in the shop to wait for my arrival. He found in stock 2 quite decent tires and sold it to me for half price. He did all the work himself with a quality guarantee. He even agreed to wait for payment until Sunday, since I did not have cash.
I am very grateful to him, he's a great guy. My problem is solved with small losses. I flew to the nearest supermarket and bought him a couple of beers - the least that I could do as a "thank you".
Of course, I am a regular customer for him before and will stay so in the future. Well, when there are good-neighborliness.
