I usually change engine oil every six months April 1 and then on Oct 1. Or by the oil life reminder if I drive more often! And I adjust the rear drum brakes and squirt the throttle body to clean it and then the MAF sensor, this has been a ritual over these last almost 10 years since , I bought Oldblue back in Dec 2009.

Traded it in. No more HHR now. Wife and I both shed a few melancholy tears as we drove away from it. It looked lonely, but still cute. Took us through 12 years but the body was going fast on it. Had to put $650 worth of brakes on it a couple of weeks ago for a 2500 km tour of Ontario looking for a new home to move to.

Sad but it’s gone now! You can always keep an eye on our Classified ads for another one!

Today we drove to mother-in-law’s , the contractors were doing the repairs for the flooded basement of July 3rd.

Wow! The end of an era.
What year was yours? Perhaps you can get a ‘10 or ‘11.. or even get one of the really nice new Trailblazers... they’re really nice and economical too. Can’t beat the price for a new car.

The air here on the left coast is very thick with smoke from forest fires, my half-panel HHR got an oil change and a bath.

Mine was an '07 LT.

I traded it in on a 2012 F-150 4 x 4. We are moving...north...north enough that the only hardwood trees are birch and poplar. I will need something for the snow and moving things around.
