Found I'm leaking oil from the VVT(s). Looked like exhaust. Reinstalled it. Will see what happens.
The scary part was the 500 mile drive. Seems it *just* started as I got home. No oil level loss.
Will test drive it and check again in a day or so.
Took the electric mower apart and cleaned it all up while waiting for HHR for cool down Was a LOT of muck & mung under the motor cover. Might put a filter/screen over the grill.
I am not an electric mower kinda dude. But I would suggest to not add any screen or filtertoo restrictive, it can cause overheating. I pull my Zero engine cover every winter just make sure all is clean, & it is..
Today a road trip out for lunch and a walk in Port Dover, Ontario. On the way home we could see a dark cloud appear to be in the direction of home, turns out my friends auto recycling yard was burning, the roof and walls have collapsed, out nephew Tyler is a firefighter in that city.
They used to be a main sponsor for the race team I used to work with.
I haven’t heard of any injures, the Fire Marshals are investigating. His business was the 406 Auto on the right , he leased to 2 other businesses
Today is lawn mower day, oil change, blade sharpening, that sort of thing . I gotta keep our John Deere 14 inch push mower in top condition, it’s 32 years old now.
Changed the front wheel bearings. I got the exhaust leak fixed and could hear them howling. No more ABS issues now, and probably picked up a couple MPG as well, the old bearings were stiff!
I just spoke with my nephew, the fire marshal has ruled it not suspicious, accidental ignition. No one was injured. I called Gary , offered my help , he will take a few days and decide what he wants to do, bring in a portable crusher and sell out all the cars , or work out doors for the summer while the building is rebuilt.
