Today just a trip to the eye doctor, Sweetie has some changes in her glasses prescription so we have to order her new spectacles!

 

Involved better half in getting the Summer wheels/tires on. She'd been bugging me, helped enthusiastically, loves those alloys even more than I do.

Today is tomato day at our friends farm, so Sweetie is off to assist. I’m going to be ceramic coating the Terrain

As I approach 7 years of ownership and 'SISU' closing in om 200k, I want to reflect on all that has been done to her.
I could list all of the upgrades, modifications and maintanance, but, I don't have that much space. I will say that there isn't another one like her.
The reality is, I am thankful for my fathers teaching of preventive maintance and the "if you want it done, do it, attitude.
I am also very thankful for all the help and advice I have received from this site.
I couldn't have done all that I have without others going there first and providing excellent write-ups.
Again a big THANK YOU.
Now onto the next 200k.

Niggling small evap leak had graduated to large leak awhile back. Had never checked the purge valve because it had been replaced (pretty sure unnecessarily) in 2020 with a "Duralast." Well, on a hunch I pulled it out and it was leaking.

Put the OEM back in and set off to Autozone to get a replacement under waranty. They waffled but I had put the receipt in the box along with the OEM item an there it was, the detailed "limited lifetime warranty." So I guess now I have a spare.

Decided not to clear the P0455 and see how long it takes to clear on its own. (Hope it does.)

 

Today a wash and go and swap winter tires out for summer tires on Sweetie’s friends car.

 

Took a trip to Belleville and then Kingston Ontario for a tour and visited our niece and her 4 month old daughter Lily.
