But Andrey, if you wash the Hippo, they will see your license plates...perhaps another visit with Mr. Demin also?

If I've figured this out correctly the H 025 on your plates is unique because it designates the Primorsky Krai with the registration issued in Vladivostok.

Besides teaching myself your language, I'm trying to educate myself on the aspects of daily Russian life before our visit later this year.

I'm still trying to perfect my sentence order, so I won't inflict any of my less than perfect Russian on you today.

Ok, here's my one post for the day. Got up this morning and tackled my 3-bar grill and painted my mirror caps black. I also decided to give my grill a brushed look so I lightly sanded it. Came out ok...I may end up painting it. I'm going to repaint my bowties this afternoon...doing them black. I'm just about done with her...just need to get my depos and springs.

Congrats Rodney B!

Grille looks spiffy there chefhhr!

All three of mine are parked, this cold/virus/Black Plague is keeping me down for the count.

My wife has the plague too. Second time in the past month.

Oops, I exceeded my daily post count. Since I'm here, I'll go ahead and say I painted my bowties black and sanded all the other chrome on the car...handles included. Everything has that brushes look. I have to say its actually pretty sexy!

Sorry to hear she has the Plague too, hope she feels better soon.

I like the brushed chrome look, probably why I've always liked the looks of the LS over the LT's a bit, even though I've got an LT too. Did you wet sand the chrome bits or dry sand them, and what grit did you use?

Daily post count, did I miss something somewhere?

Oh that deal, I'd forgotten it, sorry.

Shouldn't have happened IMO, but you have folks who just have to stir the pot.

She's feeling better...this time she had what they thought was strep throat...who knows...

As for the chrome bits...I actually picked up a 3M sanding block from Home Depot (in fine) and that's what I used. I dry sanded the areas...wet sand would probably work too. I'm not sure how its going to hold up over time, but it sure looks good right now! No more shiny chrome make me a happy camper!
