What do they call that oxymoron, how do you improve on perfect, unless it wasn't perfect in the first place ??

The Guide T-3's were appropriate to the SS, but they were from 1969, there is a difference between the years of manufacture. I have lost points because of that, some judges do notice, some don't.

As a guy who keeps Griot's in business Sam, you must understand the relentless pursuit of perfection.

I was planning to wash the Silver Surfer today (yeah, I'm trying a few new names on her...lol) but there's rain the forecast in the evenings for the next few days. I just got through cutting the grass...think I'll just paint my rear bowtie and clean the inside of the wagon and call it a day!

Ran the Paddy-Wagon to the Food Lion this morning for "grilling goodies" and on the way back with my buggy a nice lady told me that "you have the prettiest PT Cruiser I've ever seen", all I could say was "why thank you ma'am, sure appreciate that".

What can you do, the general public still has PT's on the brain, and it was a compliment....so all is good.

Be careful. Don't scrape that license plate off and lose it.

Finally got to the track this weekend.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d79Om0pN3n8
It's me during the 1st 20 seconds of this video.

This was my 1st run of the year, 1st run of the day, yesterday,
during time practice runs. 1st run with my new slicks too.
I'm in the left lane already staged, waiting for the 9.0 second, 150mph,
Cavalier to get his @ss staged.

As you can see from the video, & my timeslip, the Cavalier left early,
red lighting, & me, really late off the line.

If you stop the video at the 14 second mark you can see his red light.

You can here the announcer call out the 9.07 that the Cavalier turned,
at 23 to 24 seconds, in the video.

But my time you can't hear, because of the next pair of Mod class cars,
coming up to the line.

My permanent Pittsburgh Raceway Park car number, is 248 ,
so every time that I post a timeslip, look for LEFT:248 or RIGHT:248

Video of my best run, when I lost in the 3rd round, a 12.69, this run is from 16:45 to 17:30 in the video.
You can here the announcer say that I dialed an 12.71 , & that the left lane dialed a 11.85.
And you can here the announcer say that I had a 210 reaction time, & the other guy had a 063 & that the winner ran an 11.95

Also painted my beauty bar and got rid of the wiper arm. Need to paint my bowtie still...painting it black to match the front one.

Perfect height man. Hows the ride? Mine won't be going in for another week or so

Ride is perfect. I called CM on Friday and asked them about trimming the bumpstops and they recommended that I leave them alone so I did and I have hit a few spots and they feel fine. I've gotten up to about 70 with no pull and from what I can tell, the alignment was not affected at all. Install was super easy, but you have to make sure you have a torque wrench! I had someone that was gonna let me borrow one, but he couldn't find it and we couldn't get that bolt off the strut. We ended up taking them both up to a local hole in the wall tire shop and the guy put the new springs on the struts for me in the parking lot...$20 but well worth it! I'll do some measurements when I can get it on level ground. I measured it again last night it looks like the front dropped 1-1/2" and the rear about 2-1/2" overall to give it a nice level stance. I can get about a finger and a half between the tire and fender well.
