We got our HHR due to an unplanned event - my wife's 2000 Olds Silhouette minivan was totaled in an accident. We were looking to downsize since the kids are getting older, the accident just accelerated the process. So far, so good!

For my 1st HHR, I gave up my 95 Pontiac Grand Prix with 160,000 miles on her. I traded her in for my 07 1LT w/5spd, summit white. I had that HHR for almost a year and traded up to an 08 2LT auto that had almost the same amount of mile that the 1LT had on it, about 18,000.

I gave up a 2008 BMW 3-Series, I need an affordable but cool wagon to haul stuff. I almost gone with the Matrix or Soul, but I think HHR is cooler to driver around...

Also gave up 2004 GTO

I had to have one car that had some carrying capacity. I really enjoyed the GTO, but the trunk is very small. Had to keep the Corvette and the Mini Cooper S. The SS was a bonus, as I still have a fun car to drive that can haul some stuff. Moved most of a household with mine.

I did not have to give up anything, but I searched for my panel for about six months before I found the one I wanted. I did give away my '97 Kia Sportage 4x4 - which I hated. It was on it's third timing belt at 140k and I was tired of making repairs to just about everything. I added my '07 HHR Panel to my growing stable of vehicles, after installing rear seats it carries five, and it is by far the best car I have ever owned. I like my '07 Honda Civic for sporty trips around town, or great mileage on the freeway, but it isn't very versitile. I rarely drive my '78 El camino, and share time with an '04 Honda VLX 600, and now a '10 Harley FLHX Streetglide. If Chevy would continue to make HHR's I would buy another. I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Same here. I didn't give up anything. The A/C went out for the 2nd time on my Purple '96 S10 (78000mi), but I couldn't give it up. Now I have 2 veh. Everyone needs 2 trucks. I live in a small town, and both are easily recognizable. I don't regret buying my '09 HHR, or not selling my S10.
