What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?
A 24mpg 2001 VW automatic beetle.....by far the worst car that I've owned. You would think for such a small car it'd get better mileage. The gearing was not thought through on that car at all.
Only way I'd buy another VW is if it were a TDI Diesel.

in febuary 2011, i hit a racoon, that's right a racoon, with my 2004 ford taurus. luckily, i still had full coverage and rental coverage when i hit the racoon, that lil stinker did $1,700.00 worth of damage to my taurus. so low and behold, i got a 2009 hhr. i immediately loved it! well got my taurus back all good as new, then in may 2011 i hit bambi at 65mph. needless to say it was totaled. then i purchased a 2010 hhr in may 2011 from my local gm dealer. got a good deal and i love it. the only things i don't like is changing headlights and changing the air fliters are a major PITA!
1999 Sunfire 2.2L, 130,000 miles no problems, I hated the Car, someone once said you are what you drive, when I drove that car I felt like nobody, now I drive an SS & i'm still nobody but I have a big Smile, handed the Sunfire down to the wife.

I gave up a 1993 Plymouth Laser with 202k miles on it! The thing ran good, but some jerk backed into it and his insurance bought it for 2,200, which was WAY more than I paid for it! The AC worked fine until it was above 90 or 95, then just kept the car to about 80 degrees inside, and when I had to pull a steep hill I normally needed to turn the AC off to give it a power boost. Also, the synchronyzers were out between 1st and 2nd, but I still drove it for 40k miles like that.
