If it doesn't have side curtain air bags and falls between these VIN numbers: 76000006 through 76110522, it has the recall.

I had mine done a week ago and you can't tell anything was done.
There was a stain on the liner b4 they started and after they finished.....
NO STAIN!!!!

I was scared to try to remove it because of the light color.
I didnt want to make it worse.
Dealer solved it for me.

1 atta boy for my dealership!!! Carriage Chevrolet in Fayetteville, TN.

Nope.....no side curtain airbags. Oh well, it is my wife's and I won't have to look at it every day......

I just found something interesting - Not too long after we got our HHR I dropped the headliner to install a couple antennas on the roof. I noticed the pieces glued to the headliner in several places and made a comment on them to Sharon. Since then we went through two appointments to have the recall work done. Today I had to drop the headliner to remove the stock antenna plus the two I added (cheaper for me to do it than the body shop for the custom paint job!). I don't see any difference with the headliner. No new pieces.....
Could be:
1. They didn't do anything
2. The mod had already been done to this car when I bought it, but no record of that since GM sent me a recall notice.

Dealer is no help.

Leon.....

They could be easy to miss if you aren't exactly aware of what to look for. Check post #85 for pictures supplied by ChevyMgr. They do appear to be kind of small...based on the comparison with someones hand in the photo.

They're located just over the front passenger and drivers door.

But, if you are absolutely sure they didn't install them, I would discuss this with the Service Manager. It should be worth a couple of free oil changes or something.

There is already one there from the factory, the new one sits on top of it. The recall is like stacking an empty egg carton on top of another empty egg carton. I don't know how to be more descriptive. The new one has longer pockets.

Talking HHr Recall

It was very painless and was resolved on my hhr in about 15 minutes. They caught it when I was getting nitrogen pumped into my new tires...

I took mine in a couple of weeks ago for this recall. Only had to send it back 3 times to have the dirt and grimy fingerprints cleaned off the headliner panel. (Gawd, I HATE that dealership). Shoulda gone somewhere else, I know.
