Most people like to go fast. I also like to stop fast. It's kind of fun trying to see how deep you can go into a turn before breaking - just as much fun as going fast. Probably a good part of the reason I had to replace all four so soon.

Plan on washing the car today - first time in about a month and the frontwheels are still just as clean as the back.

minis have a problem with the ebrake lines being improperly bent which causes the rears to wear rediculously fast. i changed all four at around 40k on mine...went with ebc greenstuffs all around and drilled/slotted rotors all around...after 15k the rotors looked like the day i put them on. and ur right they do stop on a dime but it was freakin scary after i upgraded everything...didn't expect that big of a difference

the compound on the minis was very rough on the rotors and whats on the ss seems to be pretty rough as well. i have 42k on mine but the rotors are very worn. when mine go i'll probably do something similar but probably ebc yellows this time

Don't go past the red if you do mostly street driving. Yellow is for track use and they do not recomend it for the street for a reason.

Tougher is not always better. Match the pad to the job.
