I bought a set of ATI slotted rotors for my Neon and they worked excellent, even with OEM pads. I'm not sure if they have anything for our HHR's, but try the tirerack.com and see.

mine for my mini came from brake planet. i've heard mixed reviews on their service...i had an issue with not receiving mine for around a month and they finally got them to me and sent me a check for a partial refund (like 10 or 15 percent) for the inconvenience so they corrected my problem but have heard otherwise. anywho...the product was great...no warping, cracks, or even signs of wear really after 15k so i'm pleased with the product and their service for that matter since they fixed my problem. and they carry a lifetime warranty if im not mistaken

Do not buy sloted, holed or dimpled rotors unless you want the look. They do not add to performance of the brakes. They are cosmetic only.

If anything the holes reduce the heat sink effect of absorbing heat since there is less material.

The holes were there in the past when poorer materials were used for brakes and also for less unsprung weight

Most brake companies will state this on their web sites. I know Willwood does. ALso I had the owner of EBC tell me this at a meeting I had with him. He stated the only reason he sells them is because they make money. Other wise he will not and does not claim better braking on them.

Todays cars use them for looks and not much else. The slots will clean better on a 4x4 in off road conditions.

The pad material is the most important thing Heat transfer and keeping the heat out of the pad is the most important thing you can do.

Thanks for the link MrGTO. I''ll check it out and see if I can get the $50. FYI - Don't drink beer, but that will buy me about 3 bottles of rum!

At 29,008 miles in 1 year and 3 months of driving my SS, The front sound tabs kicked in yesterday morning . ( sounds like a drunk whale dunked in hot sauce , being run over and draged by a semi tractor trailer over the salt flats ! ) So i stopped on the way home and picked up a set of Wagner ceramic Thermoquiet pads, Had them on in 19min.
Every 2 days after a bath the front wheels were covered with brake dust.

So far super quiet, no dust, After 105 miles today .
They claim there laser cut to avoid noise and improve braking .

Front caliper, pads and rotors are all it is.

Dealer is saying the Caliper hoses and ABS units are different. Anyone made this upgrade?? I have the GM number for the rotors what are my aftermarket options??
