GM Stage1 Longterm questions.
No dealer should have an issue where you got the parts. They are GM parts and they are getting paid to install them. If they want they can match the price.
I got my kit at work at cost [it is not a dealer but I can order GM parts at cost] I then took them to the dealer and they did the install for me and the down load for a very good price. I may have less in my system than anyone.
From what I read even GM has no issue with you installing the parts and then just taking it to the dealer for the down load. GM did recomend to drive it carefully as the car will run but it is not in proper tune. For what it is worth the dealer will charge in most cased as much for the down load no matter if they install the hard parts or not.
