I wish I knew a little more about that SS engine and the engine controls, and how the in-tank pump works with the High pressure fuel pump etc.. If anyone comes across an article on it, we should add it to the SS section if it isn't already noted somewhere here.

I guess you could use a fuel pressure gauge and find out just how low?

Thread moved to SS

Like this:

So it could be bad fuel injectors, any reason to suspect them? Maybe wiring to the fuel rail pressure sensor?

donbrew you can read the tank fuel pump pressure ahead of the HPFP rail with a standard gage. HPFP pressure with a scanner or scanning program, ie hptuners VCM scanner.

Quick on the draw or keyboard OB. If the sensor is bad, I believe this ACDELCO 2134420 {#12614935, 12621292, 2134265} GM Original Equipment would be the one.

Need to read the intank pump pressure first.

twice for me same thing, a year apart, low power:
cleaned dirty throttle plate; fixed both times. 10 min repair

also, i wouldn't discount dirty battery terminals, and lug post on the fuse box - had other problems related to that too. Nobody cleans battery terminals anymore
