ok but it has brembos anyway I bought it for 1000 running after market rims 6000 miles I got it looking for a hhr to swap parts but found an ss with papers non salvage so I'll redo all suspension since bearings and shocks and bushings are worn

Be aware the Ball joints on an SS are different then the LS and LT either just press new bushings into the factory LCA’s or order GM LCA’s specific to the FE5 suspension.

For a true FE5 yes, there are aftermarket struts like KYB’s that are almost as firm , but are more like a between FE3 and FE5. But they will bolt right in.
