Well 300 miles and I tested the Airbag
Thanks.
After speaking to the guy I feel good with dealing with him. He restored a killer 55 Chevy and know what he is doing.
Over all this has not been a good thing but it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
The worse thing now is I will be without the vehicle for 3-4 weeks. But I will get it back and he promised I would not know it was ever hit. He said this knowing I am a gear head and I am very picky.
Well our first estimate is for $5,344.00 for the off road adventure.
The good news is all the damage was to bolt on parts infront of the unibody. It is all bumper and related barckets and mount. Also they are going to replace the intercooler, condenser and radiator. The rear bumper only needed some mounts replaced.
All parts will be new GM parts that are aleady ordered.
The best news is there looks to me no chassis damage or any sheet metal damage. For what happened this is the best news that can be expected.
The airbag and seat belt will be replace inside but all else is in good shape.
I feel a lot better now and know once I get it back it will be as good as it was when I picked it up.
Any additional cost will be picked up by the insurance company so if there is anything hidden it will also be fixed with only new GM parts.
If there had been drive line problems or chassis damage this would have given me some concern.
The one good thing is I will not have bolt holes in the front bumper and I just ordered a Altec folding plate mount
