Guys, ahem, just take out the cruise control module, unplug the old, connect the new, and then reinstall like the radio switch. It's much easier and faster.

You can do that sure, but it has nothing to do with getting the old harness out. That's what I'm referring to in my post, not connecting the plug.

The quote in your post was on the removal of the cruise control plug was PITA... I was just saying I removed the entire assembly to get it unplugged. I just re-read the post... you meant pulling the plug from under the bracket! Sorry.

Edit: It's in and working now, I love it. Neighbors probably wondering why I was honking my horn in the garage.
I warned ya!! The mute button is worth it all by itself.. I can push that button... yell out the window at the idiot that just cut me off then push it again and not hear a word they say back.

I believe that some people did not disconnect the battery, which would allow the horn to honk while working on this mod. As soon as I confirm that the parts above are the correct ones, I'll be ordering them and will disconnect the battery...just a safe thing to do in my books...but obviously not necessary. Plus...it should keep the horn from honking during install.
