Can I ask is LT2 a HHR LT or another vehicle?
And where would you direct me to in respect to a wheel?

Thanks

2lt is an upgraded option package for the HHR.

I also purchased a steering wheel from a Cobalt SS and installed it in my 08 Panel LS. It was plug and play as i remember. The most time consuming part was getting the airbag out. Easy once you figure it out.
I purchased my wheel from ebay a couple of years ago. Then it was only $65. Nice having the radio controls and the leather wheel.

The easiest way to do this way by far is to locate and install a new steering wheen with the controls you want. I say this not because the installation is hard but because getting the correct parts is not an easy task. There are at least 2 different button covers(silver and grey for sure maybe others) and 2 different type buttons high and flush. You just have to figure out what you need to match the cover and buttons to the ones on the other side of your steering wheel(cruise control etc.). Then you have to search the Threads about this upgrade to get the correct part numbers. It is not really hard, just a little time consuming but definately worth the effort. I did this with parts not just swapping steering wheels. Sorry I don't have the part numbers any more, I'd have to search just like you will if you decide to do this. And I would also have to know which buttons(high or flush) and what color I was looking for.

Are the Cobalt SS airbag and the HHR's airbag interchangeable?

I found a Cobalt SS wheel without the airbag for about $150.00.
If they are then I can just migrate my airbag over if I go with the wheel.

Thanks

I think they are but I am not 100% sure. Someone else will have to answer that question for you. I have never heard or read of any one have a problem making the swap. The only concerns seem to be matching color of the wheel to your interior. I did read once about one wire having to be swapped into a different hole in the connector. But as far as I can tell that was a rare occurance. I realize there are quite a lot of posts in the thread about this update but it would serve you well to read them all or at least scan them looking for part numbers and if any wire changes are necessary on wheel swaps. $150.00 seems like it is a little high. I would think around $100.00 is more like it.

They match up! $ 150.00 is steep , I paid $35.00 4 years ago on E-Bay, get the SS one or keep searching for one online!
LT2 is the upgraded HHR model

Oldblue. Just to clarify. It's 2LT for the HHR. Not called LT2. LT2 was a code designation for another GM product.

Same thing goes for the 1LT HHR.
