R60us: Thank you so much for this detailed how to.
I did encounter two problems which others have seen as well:
1. Rivnut was bigger than the 9mm bit provided in the kit
Solution:
Increased the bit size a little bit at a time until the rivnut would go in snugly.
2. Rivnut Tool was too long when installing the rivnuts on the rear
Solution:
I've seen others say they cut the tool. Save some time and the threads by adding on a nut or two above the non-threaded 'guide' which will still provide the leverage and torque needed to close the rivnut.
Side note:
When torquing down on the rivnut, be sure to keep the post screw on the tool as perpendicular to the roof as possible.

Does anyone still have the paper template for the side rails that they'd be willing to sell or lend out for a fee and get back after?

i did mine on my LS 06 and had nothing other than the bolts and not pattern and had to go to a car lot and measure one that had rails and i learned and only had to buy one extra bolt to hold it down.
i used silicone too and still to this day no leak and i used a carrier too up there and no issues
great how to
wish i would have had it

Just installed my roof rails today. As an added note, I found it easier to align the templates by measuring and marking the center of the roof and halving the check measurements on the templates and going from there.
