At least the base radio in the 2009 is totally redesigned due to a vendor change. Actually the vendor switched from Pioneer or Panasonic(can't rememember which) to Delphi. The window switches have also changed from the center console to the doors. There maybe more or less on the SS, I have the LS.

You may be able to, But I know the HHR's changed in 2009 from 2006-2008 models. I would take voltage readings from a lit up LCD on the I/P Cluster, and see what it reads! Post some pics too if you could. It should work, but i can't guarantee that. Good Luck. Keep us posted.

Great mod. I dont trust myself to do such tedious work. But I would consider buying all the parts and sending them to someone who could, and paying handsomely for it. The end result is phenomenal.
Thanks man, I appreciate that very much. My next project is coverting my car to Leather from Cloth!!! I've already added a Heated seat option to my car. It's soooo fun messing with our cars, isn't it!

I was looking at that one last night, Great write-up by the way! I have already ripped my front seats apart to add the OEM Heated seats option, so I'm pretty familiar with the fronts. I was more loking for the rear. I will definately use that thread for a reference. Thanks again.

Has anybody else been brave enough to try what I've done? I know DLVRNIT has, but I did the actual soldering. Looks great by the way with the SS Cluster. Anybody else?

Passenger or Driver Side Lock Switch

I want to change my Passenger and driver Side Lock Switch but I don't know how to open the panel of the door to change it. Some one can help me?

That's pretty easy. There are two screws located in the handle of the door, under the black rubber insert. and there is a third screw where the actual open handle is. there is a small black cover, pop the cover off to reveal he screw. Once you have all three screws out, then the rest just POP's out and is only held by clips. I usually start by the top of the dor panel by the mirror, once you have that free continune along the side and bottom as you release the clips. after you are all done, the panel should be able to be wedged up and out. There will still be things attached to it tough, like the lock switch harness and the lock cylinder cable.
