I need some advice. Ordered the timingchain kit. But the lower gear is different,then the one,what was in the engine. Original is out of engine in pictures and new one is in the engine.
Can I use the new one without this rubber(or plastic)? Or if not,what is the correct part in rockauto? Lots of tumb questions.
On more question. Where I can find new Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Sprocket bolts? Or can I use old ones?

 

It appears the crank sprocket is on backwards, as you see the word front on the OEM sprocket. You are going to have to correct that or you will chew up the oil pump

I have reused the VVT phaser bolts , no issues

 

Thanks. When I notice that the new sprocket dont have the rubber(damper?) on it,I just put the crank sprocket to its place. And looks that it went wrong.

Is there any issues not having the ruber in crank sprokets? Or do I have to find the one with rubber on it? Where?

 

I'm with Oldblue, the crank sprocket appears to be installed backwards. You should be able to see the timing mark on the sprocket that lines up with the black colored link on the chain.

Still,the original sprocket have some sort off rubber araound it. In the picture the black colour and it is bouth side of sprocket. New one dont have it. Is this ok or do I have to find other?

 

OEM insulated sprocket or solid sprocket , I vote solid metal every time, less chance of failure

FMG has a great point, if the sprocket is on backwards, how did you line up the timing marks?

 

When I saw that the sprocket is without insulation and I dint have the new VVT bolts,I just put it all together(loose). I thought that I have to order new sprocket and the bolts(it will take time). But since all the parts was out of box, so I put them together. I do not know when I will find time to work it again.
So atleast I know that nothing is missing :)
