Hello,
Need some advice. All the wiring(front end and front doors) are connected. Fuelpump as well. When battery is connected all the lihghts are on in speedo. The A/C fan is working. All the lights (front and back and brake) Front windows are working. Brake lights are working and the gear leaver unlocking(when press the brake) is working.
The securiti symbol is going off. If turn the ignition, the fuel pump works, also some buzzz sound from engine bay. But if turning the key to start position, nothing happening. So we hook the small tester to the car. And it shows no connection to ECM/ABS and Transmission. What can cause this?
The key and the key ring is from my old car. All wiring and BCM and transmission modul is from one car. The ECM and ABS modul is from another car(bought it from USA). All is 2008. So for some reason they wont communicate
Any suggestions are extremely welcome

Best,
Raivo

PS! If the securiti sign means the immobilaiser is on. If it goes off, then the immo is off. Or I going the wrong way with this. And the old car immo and othe car BCM still do not wat to work together?

Perhaps you missed a wire, a ground or ECM/BCM are not in sync to the VIN

Thanks. I will chek the wires again. All grounds I find is also connected. But yes.The BCM and ECM are from the different cars.
The BCM vin code I know. The ECM was bought from Ebay. But how can you programm it,if you can not access? The BCM is ok. Can see everything.
Called our local GM(Opel) dealer this morning, and they can not help me. It is not EU market car. And they dont have the premission? to deal with those now.
Will call to independent USA car seller/service as well. Maybe they have accsess to GM information/programming.

Well all I can say is,stupidity is my middle name. The communication problem is solved. And it was quite simple. In my 2007 HHR is Pioneer sound system in back left side. Right side is empty. With the 2008 SS wiring harness did not have the Pioneer sound system and no connections on the left side of harness. But in the right side(back) was some connectors and some sort of metal box. I was thinking, that it is some sort of sound system part because there was antenna cables also. Because I wanna but aftermarket sound system in my car,I thought that I do not need to connect this box
I think you all know what box it is
After connecting this box,we have all the communication we need. With some no name diagnostic tool,we could not programm the ECU. Tomorrow my friend can borrow the GM computer from work. So let's see what happens next.

Tomorrow I hope,I can get my ZZ Performance downpipe out of customs as well.

For some reason the used ECM I bought from USA was blank(empty for soft). So it was need the GM dealer to programm it.

Nice :) ZZ Performance

Now I can start assembling the car. And then have to look whats wrong with the ESC. Also have to fabricate the exhaust pipe.
The engine is working and it is moving(no brakes jet and summer tires and lots of snow :) )

Hello,
Need some advice.
2007 HHR do not have the YAW sensore behind the passenger seat beam. 2008 SS have it. So do get ESC working I have to buy this as well.
Is the part number GM GENUINE 22733617 correct? In the RockAuto site this part is out of stock.

I also looking to get the SS power steering unit. Because I need to have the steering angle sensor. I already bought one used from USA. The seller send me the picture of SS power steering unit. But send me the wrong one (like I have in my 2007 2.4 HHR). So I got cheated. Nice to live far away :)

Thanks Oldblue.

Do you know how different are in real life the SS power steering system and the normal HHR one? Can I add just the steering angle sensor for my own system? Or it way too different?
