Cory- Welcome aboard & Congrats on the new ride.
You can change the rear coil springs to ones that will lower it. Easy to do. Check this: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/brak...ts-best-13137/
I leveled mine 10 years ago using now obsolete Cobalt SS/TC rear springs. Then after I added a TTR rear sway bar from one of our forum Suppliers here.

Welcome to the site, I’m looking into lowering spring options, I already have the TTR rear sway bar , a definite must have. I installed 2 inch lowering springs from a full set of Canuck Motorsports lowering springs, they were great , but I sold them and put the FE 3 springs back in, for now. More on that in a week or so.
The LCA’s should be aluminum, not stamped and riveted or welded steel, there are options , such as pressing out the old rubber bushings and installing nylon bushings and replacing the ball joints.
The rear disc brakes are either a salvage yard rear axle from an SS HHR or Cobalt , some have welded mounting plates for the rear calipers, some have mounting plates the bolt in to the rear axle hub mounting studs.
Our search window will open up many threads in these and many more subjects.
