Rear Area Fuel Line leaking
Rear Area Fuel Line leaking
Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all on the site!
My name is Larry Gill (firea100).
I live in East China Mi. 26 miles north of Detroit and About 3/4’s of a mile across the St.Clair River to Sombra Ontario Ca.
I’ve purchased an HHR-SS that was rode hard and put away wet! It’ll need a complete front clip (fenders, grill, hood, bumper cover, front doors, and tailgate)
It also has a severe fuel leak near the tank. My friend that has more than thirty years as a GM mechanic and a big fan of HHR’s told me about the fuel line that rusts out over time. I’ve paid $200.00 for the car minus the SS wheels. This could be a restoration but I’m choosing to do a pick-up conversion instead.
This car has an automatic trans and abs 4 wheel brakes. It once was a pretty cool little car. My friend has a repair facility so I’ll be able to do the fuel one at his place. He has a panel HHR. He wants the SS wheels for his ride. I’m not sure, as of yet, what year the SS is. We looked at it for no more than fifteen minutes in a big rush, so a lot of the details are a bit foggy. I don’t know a lot about these cars, although I’ve always liked the look of them especially the panel HHR.
But I really like the look of Bob Bolander’s 2 door pick-up conversion so that’s the direction I’m going in. NEWS JUST IN! It’s a 2010 model year with 76,xxx miles!!
Any and all comments and suggestions would be appreciated either as a response to this post or by PM.
Thanks and have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
