Favorite Recipes
Don't have any recipes I use on a regular basis that I can remember ... usually when I cook I'm like an Iron Chef, I throw together whatever I think will go together and it usually works.
HHR recipes who’s hungry?
How about a HHR recipe thread so we can share our favorite dishes. This could get very interesting, anyone else up for it?

I would tell you about my old fashion bread, but then I would have to measure my pinches and handfulls, But I would be in for a stove top meal:
1) Large cast iron Skillet
2) 1-1 1/2 lb kabasa (I use Turkey)
3) 1 very large onion, or two medium
4) 2 small cans of Tomato Paste
5) 1 large can of Tomato Sauce
6) 1 red and 1 green bell pepper
7) 1 can corn
Slice the kabasa in 1/4" slices, dice the onion, and bell peppers.
Place all in the skillet, and cook on low on the stove top.
You will know all is done when all is tender.
You may subtract the second paste if you don't want to much tomato.
cooks in about an hour on my stove, my skillet is a very large one.
Enjoy!

Seeing as how it's October and the holidays are coming here's our Cranberry Pumpkin bread recipe.
Ingredients: 4 eggs, 1 can pumpkin (14 ounces), 2/3 cup water, 1 cup veggie oil, 3 1/3 cups flour, 3 cups sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons soda, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, 1 cup cooked cranberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease and flour 2 loaf pans
Mix liquid ingredients set aside in a larger bowel mix all dry ingredients accept sugar. Blend the sugar into the liquid until smooth, blend this into the dry ingredients, and fold in cranberries. Pour into prepared loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Let sit for 30 minuets on the bakers rack before turning out loafs.
After I made this the first time I started making this recipe times 4 each time I make it. Other wise loafs fly out of the kitchen faster then you can blink. Now I only have to make a batch every other day.
Enjoy, Curtis and Deb
