Intersting article about American car quality
you must think that everyone is submissive to those posts of yours. Obviously, stating that you have found it challenging to keep it under control. That in itself tells others what kind of driver you are. Is it that difficult for you not to admit it? Honest is the best policy. Some can't help but be habitual _ _ _ _ _.
LMAO, thanks for the entertainment. It is like a soap opera in this thread. We have psychics, bumbling detectives and all sorts of characters. Now all we need is for someone to hit their head and get amnesia.
I for one have had all kinds of fun in this thread, it appears you and a few others are the ones having trouble keeping control of your feelings.
Hopefully you will recover though and be able to move on with your life.
I am still waiting on next weeks lottery numbers though, can you have those to me by the end of the day?
Oh like I said earlier, if the quality SIGNIFICANTLY improves then yes I would consider one in the future. As it stands now, no I would not. I know it is always good to buy American if you are from this country but not at the sacrifice of quality. I have better things to do than spend my time at the dealership getting a new car repaired every week.
Hopefully though GM, Chrysler and Ford will make significant changes to make them more competitive in the market and to gain the trust of the consumer again so they will be successful. I would love to see that, hopefully a few years down the road the imports will be worried about the domestic cars here.

Yes it does appear they are seeing the facts and are working towards a better GM, that is a good thing.
What I worry about is that they will keep status quo and ignore chronic design problems. While I believe they are as good as the competition in many respects, they have always had their heads in the sand in respect to taking care of their broken stuff. Toyota and Honda have them beat hands down when it comes to this. Whether this will change to remains to seen.

Until you can admit your faults, you will never improve.
Toyota trucks were forced off the road at one time because their frames were rotting out. Yes, Toyota fixxed them. They were really worried about the law suits that they would incur if they didn't. Those vehicles were death traps. Splitting in half, brake and fuel lines falling completely off and fuel tanks and exhaust pipes dragging on the roads. Many buyers were were totally at a loss for that biggy.
So, all makers have their problems, some are forced to do a fix be it by the government's demand or other source. Let's hope all automakers find the right combination of profitability vs costs.

, but yet they see Toyota and it's great. I've even hear Tundra owners state the folding tailgate is not an issue, they will just take it off if they need to use the bed. If not for Lexus, most all of Toyota is ranked average at best.IMO one of the biggest problem Detroit had was management. The asian carmakers are blood thirsty, you don't do you job, your gone. Detroit definatly had some bad management, too much emphasis in one are and not another. ANd that bit them in the ass, but times are changing, and have been. But you can't just switch overnight and all is better. For every 1 problem child, you have 1000 great ones you never hear about. Cause if your happy, you don't complain. And when you complain, you don't care to hear who's happy. New management is a good thing sometimes. Just look at the joke Damilier made of Chrysler..... And just as soon as that rape was done, bailed. Just in time it seems.
At one time I had 2 honda's in the drive way and after 4 models of that and started my current job. I found out that number and facts don't lie. I see maintenance well after warranty expires. Detriot is not catching up, they have passed. The ones that are sneaking up are the Koreans.
I know this will stir up a bee's nest but I think unions are killing the auto industry in this country more than anything. Unions basically guarantee lazy/poor quality oriented employees will not be fired and that goes a long way towards the spotty quality these cars have.
