I'm sure most of you don't care, and probably a bunch of you don't even know the building, but you have no idea how excited this makes me!!! The guy who owns it (also owns the Ambassador Bridge) is going to try and get permits by the end of the week to start working on fixing up the old Michigan Central train station that I love so much in Detroit!!! (It's the building in my avatar)

Finally, seeing that place in the state its fallen into has made me sick for years. At last signs of hope for the old place.

I really think that restoring it can be a great symbol for the city. That building has become iconic for showing what has happened to Detroit, and tearing it down would have only hurt the city more. Restoring it will show that the city can in fact be saved, and one day I hope that it becomes the shining jewel that it once was.

I remember picking my cousin up from there when I was about 6. I was running and took a header in the parking lot

It is sad to see the way it is now.
