What we have here is a 1972 Austin Maxi 1750 HL.
The car also sold in Denmark as a Morris 1800, which was colloquially known as the "landcrab".

It followed the five-door hatchback pattern of the French-produced Renault 16

A beloved car from a company that may not survive 2011, its the Saab 96 produced from 1960-1980 with either an 841cc 2-stroke inline 3, or a 1498-1700cc 4-stroke Ford V-4 engine. Had a chance to drive a 2-stroke 96 a few years back, what a nice machine and certain to produce plenty of smiles per mile.
OK, I'll bite.
The car 'looks' French, but in fact it's Italian.
It's a Lancia Aurelia Florida by Pininfarina- 1955
Haven't seen too many 4-door hardtops with rear-opening doors. I can only think on one other right now. Happens to be featured in a Bridgestone commercial......
