Could be....but in any event they are going to put a new one on...odds of screwing up twice??? I'm hoping that isn't the case

PS you know...I think you might be right about it being upside down the more I look at it

Are you SURE they did it?

Good Luck... I think you're going to need it.

Let's hope so because I would really think they would be setting themselves up for one hell of a lawsuit if they fudged a safety recall

Bringing it in Tuesday to have them replace the ties and rearview mirror.....will report the results

ok...some success today..and some not so good

Good..got the front bowtie replaced (albeit the replacement has a little scuff in the middle) and also got the rearview mirror replaced.

Bad....the rear bowtie did not get replaced because last week after I showed the service writer how crooked it was he forgot to order another Also when I went to adjust my mirror it almost fell off in my hands....guy who put it on failed to tighten the little screw/nut that attaches it to the shield...easy fix but come on....jeeesh

So I need to make ANOTHER trip to the dealer to get this fixed because they forgot to order it..I guess it is a free repair so I should not complain too much but.....(too late for that I guess )

I also asked about the a/c condenser guard that the new HHR's have and wondered about the possiblity of getting one for my 07..the SW looked at me like wtf you talking about? I asked him to look in his TSB's to see if there was a possiblity I could get one for my 07.....magically the system was down that allows him to search for that stuff

I'll have to look around and see if I can find that post that Chevy Mgr posted on this..geeez I wish he was here in NH!

MacMulkin han't been bad to me, just seems to be forgetful like a teenager

Goose I think the bow ties have 2 different pns. Maybe thats why ours is crooked on the back, they used wrong one?????
Good luck

Maybe...the way that is tilted though....I'm inclined to believe that the installed it upside down as was mentioned above..it looks to be the right size

The one thing I will give MacMullkin kudos on if nothing else is that they do a visual inspection of your car before they take it in for service..they want to see if there is any damage (dents, door dings etc) before they work on it. Protects them from false claims and also lets them know it better not come back out with any new marks on it...I've never seen this at a dealer before
