You mentioned that the car 2006 should have a surge tank, not a recovery tank. I don't know which is called what, but it came with the tall, narrow thing in my photos. Unfortunately the owner's manual doesn't have a drawing so I can compare.

The number in the 10th position of your VIN is the year of the car. A 2006 would have a 6.
