It's not just the plastic, it's the solvent (gasoline) that breaks the bond. Is a new tank really that expensive? Or is it just unavailable (like so many other parts)?

How did the tank get damaged? I thought we were talking about sealing tubes and fittings.
The P0442 test doesn't run until there is room in the tank for air, between 15% and 85% and only after a cold start.

Once again it is not the light that is the problem., that is why it seems to pop up at 1/8.

The sealant around the vents, broke loose, rendering the tank to be toast!
