motor mounts

Does someone know how far the back of the edge of the air cleaner top is from the edge of the cowling on an hhr with good motor mounts?
Thanks

No.... But if you look in your passenger wheel well there should be an access hole with the head of a bolt in the middle of it. If the head of the bolt is lower, then your upper mount is toast. Try a power brake test to check the mounts. You can also use a pry bar.

ok thanks ill check that. I know that they are hydraulic and over time they sag quite a bit. Ive read where a bad one can be what causes the flex pipe to crack

Definitely will. In looking on ebay I see lots of packs of 3 mounts but very few include the 4th mount which is the upper transmission mount. Is that because it rarely fails?

I’m thinking. I haven’t had mine out yet to inspect it.
