Wiper Blade Recommendations ?

Wiper blades can be a Pain in the A--.
Most of the cars I have owned in the last 20 years have had a curved windshield and some of those have also had a large windshield.
That seems to create the real difficulties of getting a blade that works properly and last for a good bit of time.
I can't tell you how many different so called Premium etc.etc. blades I have tried over those years and most of them failed the test.
On my GM products I finally gave up the chase and bought the OEM Trico blades which for the most part brought back the sanity to my wipers.
One of the issues in the curved large winshieds was chatter. The other was, Noises not there before the change.
A Tech a one of the Chevy Dealers I visted told me that if the arm was not holding the blade perfectly straight @180 degress to the windshield, then you can have chatter and/or noise. That seems to help if you can just do a little delicate bending and have a good EYE.
The HHR windshied however is fairly flat and a small area so the stresses of the arm and blade are minimal in comparison.
The way mine work on all HHR's I have had is one of the pleasures of this little jewel.
They work quiet and no chatter with the OEM blades.
I'll just stick with them .....

I used Bosch Icons and have used them on my last three(3) vehicles with good success. I tried the Rainx blades and they were very short lived. I was sorry I let the guy talk me into them even if they were on sale. I live in Louisiana and use my wipers alot and the Icons are they best I have found over the years. Most if not all wipers work good on day one. To me it is their lasting ability that determines if they are good or bad. I have had my current set of Icons in service for 14 months and they work as good as the day I installed them.

Really? My last set of Latitude's lasted about a year. Granted that still doesn't compare to 3 years, but my personal experience with the Bosch blades hasn't been good which is the reason why I don't use them. However with all the good things that have been said about the Icon's I may have to give them another chance if I ever get tired of using the Latitude's. I mean who knows they may have gotten better since the last time I used them.

for what it's worth, I run the Trico OEM blades have for 4 years now, and will be changing them out in a few days, they don't chatter, streak or rattle. I clean them with Armorall once a season, and they work great.
