I belive the piping is 2 1/2 but if I were you I would avoid it. I have a magnaflow muffler on my 08 SS. It was ok when you revved it, but on high RPMs it was super raspy and it cost me 150 :/, so I went with a muffler delete instead for only 20, all my co workers and friends agree it sounds better than the magnaflow, of course you will have more noise just FYI.. here are some youtube links to some of the vids ive made hope it helps.

Muffler delete revs

Magnaflow Revs

Magnaflow high RPM

Don't know about that straight thru. Mine have a double cone style baffel system. <> they sound great. Wonder if Fireman has got his installed yet ?

flowmaster HP2 shorties, in 304 stainless. http://www.jegs.com/p/Flowmaster/Flo...95915/10002/-1

Yep. Got it installed about an hour ago. Gotta hit the interstate to go back to work tomorrow. I'll let you know how the "drone" is. (I hope none)

The stock muffler is huge compared to the HP2 shorty.
