Ah man, so sorry to hear that, but the most important thing is that you're OK.

I agree, glad you are still typing, start over with a SS, but you still need some good tires, most of the SS's available still have the Michelin on them .

Thanks, everyone for your concern!!

Good call! If they total it, a super charged version, manual would be much more fun to own. Them tires, are coming off the second I get it home.

As long as it's not above $7200 it might still be yours. If you were on LI NY the body damage, straightening, & possible AC repair, your deductible wrapped in, prob about $5900-$6400....

I had similar accident, $4500 damage. Replaced everything structural in front of the doors to include frame rails on both sides. Took my body guy a week for parts delivery, paint and assembly. Funny thing was I didn't feel much inside the car when I T-boned the F-250. Body guy said the car did its job by absorbing the impact.

Yeah, I had a lazy inspector come out. Walked around it taking pictures and two days later was told it was totaled. I told them," The #$@% it is!" Never the less, that's another story with a ton of course words in it.

Important thing is, I have started working on it myself and have already ordered a new Radiator and fan. Sad thing, it is costing me for these parts as for my insurance company keeps sticking to just sending $6,100 to the lean holder. Which is fine, will only owe $4,000 on it. LOL

SO, far I have straightened out the radiator support and have removed all the broken or damaged parts. Also got the hood latching again for now.

Here are some photos of MAD MAX HHR...

Do to the damage and not wanting to replace the front bumper with the same bumper. I have designed another version of the car. This one will have a tubular pipe type bumper filled with styrofoam up front. The strength will be far greater then factory and look sharp to boot.

Reason? This car needs more weight up front for better traction and needs a better bumper to protect the front from deer and guard rails. LOL

The 4" pipe filled with styrofoam will be awesome!

Could this be the birth of the first HHR "Rat-Rod"?

I'm intrigued by the concept of a post apocalyptic HHR sporting a Mad Max vibe, watch getting it to "nose heavy" though, your handling will become interesting to say the least.

Nope, that honor went to another guy here who really made his new HHR look like it was a Junker. Do some searches, it was bad. IMO.

I think it was repossed while he still Owed on it.

Not a fan of the supposed "rat rod" look at all, on ANY car myself.

Could this be the critter to which you're referring A&P?

When I think Rat-Rod its more of an antique past the point of restoration/cobbled together/all attitude sort of deal....not a nightmare in Krylon.

WOW!!! This was a new car? Holy crap!!! What a waste. That's not what I am getting at, at all. That is just nasty, to say the least and not curse. WOW!!!

SO, now that my mouth has the taste of throw up in it from these disturbing pictures. Let me post the work I did today. Fixed mostly everything that can be fixed and now waiting on the first batch of parts.

I realigned the fender and headlight. Fixed the headlight mount that was broke with some mesh and a stainless steel screw. Super glued the lower oil line back on. Stronger then factory now...LOL

Here is today's picture, update.
