FINALLY, I Bought Em!
Thanks GB, I can Appreciate that.
They might fit in with your exterior spare tire ideas tho.

Side or rear Continental Kit? I'd still Like to see you execute that one either way.
I could use the spare tire well area for my Subwoofer alot easier without the spare tire in there.
well I didnt think I was gunna like it but..on the black panel..it looks good!!not too overbearing and still brings a retro feel to the rear end..congrats to A and P for not stickn with the norm..it may not be for everybody but for sure will get a few neck twisters goin down the road
I Like your front bumper project alot, and you have a front Visor on yours.
Can't wait for the weather to warm up and get mine ON.
And I would Love to Shave my "bumper guards" front and rear. I like the LS/LT bumpers just would rather not have those lovely lady lumps.

I think the seam, or whatever you want to call it, would be less noticeable on silver than a lot of other colors. It still wouldn't "blend" obviously, but I think they would look good.
i liked these the first time i saw them (over a year ago?), but now seeing them on A&P's ride i'm REALLY liking them

People that don't like them, in all probability will tell you, No.
All I can tell you since I do actually Own a set myself is, they Are a Bolt On, made to be Easy to install and remove at any time, Exactly as they were Designed to be by the creator of them.
Yes there are some gaps being what they are, can You live with them as is? Again, only YOU can decide.
Can you fiberglass them in, sure you can if you choose to do so. Added work, but it could be done.
I'd say a Darker color will hide the shadow line Best, but think about it, take a sheet of Paper, place it offset on another sheet of Paper, you Can see that thin paper edge can't you?

No matter how thin something is, place it on top of another object of the same and same color, you'll more than likely See the edge of the one on top.
These are made using 4 different molds to create them, there has to be some thickness to give strength and rigidity out to the edges as they are.
You'd have to ask Dan the guy making them, just how thin can you grind the edge to smooth them in , I can't tell if it's Solid all the way in the quarter panel section or not.
The main body where the light housing is, is hollow in that area.
Read this thread, look at the pictures, here and on the websites, Call and ask Dan all the questions you want answered that I havent, and decide for yourself from there.
I just so happened to catch a set, and it was in my color, and got a nice ONE TIME Deal on this set.
Still tho, $935.00 was Not cheap, But it was a good savings over the advertised prices.
Would I personally buy them again and pay full advertised retail?
YES I would in a heartbeat.
Thats Me and My choice to do so.
My wallet is that of a working mans, I gotta SAVE up for the better things in life if I want them. And work my as* off to get ahead. No silver spoon was ever handed to me thats for sure.
I bought them to please ME, and thats how I roll.
I could have cut myself a "3 bar grill" and been done "modding", instead I chose to do a design only one maybe two others have taken the time and extra work involved to do it.
Done alot of things others have or havent done , I do what I like, not what others wanna tell me I should like.

So again, only You can decide if you want them or not.

IF you decide to get them. I'll give you some tips on how you Could close up some of those gapped areas, to help hide them.
First Tip, Buy a Primered set and after you make some Tweaks, then get them painted locally, or paint them yourself if you have the tools and know how.
You can fit them on, and see were Tweaks can be made then remove them, take 2 inch Automotive painters tape and put a layer or two on your quarter panels completely covering them under and well beyond the area the fins cover.
Place them back on in the Exact position you want them at, there is some play room to move them from side to side to get a happy mediun in any gaps.
Tighten them up without any silicone beads, so you can again remove them.
While in place take note of anything that bugs you, if any, use a marker and mark were you want to make some Tweaks by filling in some areas.
Now take them back off, sand off the areas to get to raw fiberglass, sand the gel coat primer back further and feather it out.
Now, place them back in the exact location you had them, Instructions have you use the Dry Erase Marker to do this.

Now, you can use fiberglass, or a product like "tiger hair" a product with chopped up fiberglass strands mixed in it already, you add a hardener just like you would with Bondo.
If the areas are Small, you could get away with just some bondo. Fill any areas in you want, let it Harden, but still just soft enough for your finger nail to dig in Slightly, like maybe Frozen Butter, Remove them Carefully Straight off straight back, you Dont want to chip off what you just filled in.
Set them aside overnight or two, now you can sand the areas smooth and Recheck your work, and if needed add another coat. Do that until Your happy with your work. get it ready for Primer, and prime them.
This way makes Your set sorta a Custom Fit, to Your HHR. And allows them to still be Removed. And Sold on Ebay after you sell off or trade in your HHR.
Or, you can just go for it and Fully glass them in. But there ON for good then.
I may "TWEAK" my set like this at some point, but since mine came painted, I will just Enjoy them for a year or two, before i'd tear into them.
If anyone wants anymore info on this "Tweaking", just ask here, I'll do my best to Help you.

Now, Sleeper seemed to think I was avoiding side shots.
Washed Morticia today, sick as a dog, waxing and polishing the wheels just has to wait until I feel somewhat better.
Hope this is what you want to see Sleeper.

All I can add to say is, they are what they are like it or not.
I LOVE them, and I'd buy them Again in a Heartbeat without any hesitation.
Could not find my real lambs wool wash mit, had to go get a new one, 4 guys around my Panel looking it over as I came out of Autozone thought my HHR and the '55 tail lights were real cool.
The older guy of the bunch wanted to know were I got them. I told him Dans site thanked them for the Compliments and drove home to hand wash her.
Can't get any better than that.
If I feel up to it, I may head on out to Dukes Drive In and see what cars are out tonight. And see what reactions I get there.
I posted a Video on Dukes here, if you want to see the kinda cars that end up there.

Like I said, if anyone gets a set, I will be more than happy to help you TWEAK them a bit.
Not willing to long distance walk you through fully fiberglassing them in tho.
