Did some reading up on Plasti-Dip over primer Ben, it works, but when it's peeled off it has a tendency to lift the primer too.

If you go with this route, you might want to lay down a sacrificial "guide coat" of paint on the primered areas, then shoot them with the Plasti-Dip.

I'd imagine it would help cut down the chances of surface rust on the lower sides, rear fenders, and anywhere "Fenderbergs" like to form on slushy days.

(Yeah, this Good 'Ole Boy lived in Buffalo and Erie in the 90's, so I know about that white stuff that's so much fun to shovel.....not!)

Thanks for the sound advice Mike!

And what on earth was a southern boy doing so deep into Yankee territory? LOL

Putting bad guys in jail, discovering that a K-5 Blazer can punch a whopping great hole in a snow bank, and that Sears made mighty fine snow blowers.

I still have a snow shovel to remind of those -20 degree mornings when the Blazer could only be located in the snow drift by looking for the CB antennas.

That's awesome that you got to experience northern winters! They are so much fun! (sarcasm meter going off the chart) Save for two winters (1 in TN and 1in FL) I have spent my whole life living in Great Lake effect snow territory and have had my fill! I really want to relocate to the south within a year.

Well Ben, I usually try to slide some cool buick pics in here for you to use for inspiration, but this car is a perfect example of a bad idea executed with more than a fair share of "What the h*ll were they thinking?".

If you've managed to keep your breakfast/lunch/dinner down, here's the sad tale in its entirety courtesy of the Curbside Classic blog.

I totally don't get that. The spare isn't even a match. Or are those boogie wheels for when you add too many bodies to the trunk.....

Wow that really destroyed a nice car! Glad that it wasn't a factory job!

Began the process of creating a new rear bumper cover for my Buick project today. Should really change the character of the car. I can't wait to get cracking on it in the morning.
